Snapchat, Google pay tribute to Prince with purple rain

Full name of Prince is Prince Rogers Nelson. He was born in Minneapolis (Minnesota, United States) in 1958. He started his musical career from 1978 and produced 39 studio albums which combined rock, funk, pop and RnB (Rhythm and blues). Some of his hit songs include purple rain, when doves cry, etc.
During his 38 year musical career, more than 100 million of records were sold across the globe. Prince had a great talent; he not only composed music by himself but also recorded and arranged his works. His works also inspired many other artists. Prince was found dead at his home in Chanhassen (Minnesota) on 21st April 2016.
Prince was described as a master creator or designer of funk, RnB, pop and rock. Some people described him as most versatile pop artists, while other compared him with the great jazz artist Miles Davis. Prince had an ability to flit between deep soul, funkadelia, acid rock, schmaltz within the same song. He also produced music for the first Batman film.
Prince got inspired from great artists like James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Mick Jagger, Chuck Berry, and many more. All of his performance reflected that he had a versatile quality.
How Google paid tribute to Prince
After death of prince Google paid tribute to him because of his great contribution in the World music. Google made a doodle where Google was written in deep purple color and purple rain was continuously splattering in the background. Google also notified it with a tweet mentioning that they were paying tribute to the legendary music icon Prince.
If a person clicks on the doodle he was instantly redirected to the news about death of Prince, list of his hit songs, and his life history.
Snapchat’s tribute to Prince
Just like Google paid tribute to the legendary music artist, Snapchat also did similar things. Snapchat also added a filter to introduce purple rain or drops to pictures (selfies and photos) which appeared on this social media application to pay homage to this great artist. These was followed by an application update which helped users to replay snaps and allowed them to use face swap for images, which is clicked instantly or present in the camera roll of the device.
Apart for adding filter in their application, Snapchat also introduced a story named We Love Prince on their website and users can also give their valuable comments on it. Purple was made the theme color because Purple Rain was one of the most hit songs sung by Prince. Users of Snapchat shared their tributes through twitter and Snapchat by posting their pictures with purple drops.
How people of US paid tribute to Prince
Most of his fans staying in US paid tribute to this great artist by laying bouquet of flowers at his home and other location which was associated with prince’s musical career. Death news of Prince stunned all his fans and other music lovers all over the world, which also included musicians like Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, etc. US president Barack Obama was also observed to pay tribute to Prince.
